We're in our super cold season, so probably won't see any more snow for next few months, then we'll get dumped on after that or get an early spring... seems we don't get lot of snow in general anymore.

Actually saw the sun out today for a short while.

The Santa Ana winds are still going and new fires are popping up. The power is still out. The wife wanted Chik Filet so we drove into town and the power was out in a portion of it. It was bad. People do not know how to take their turn properly when a four way light it out.

My wife tells me that some people are getting grumbly on the Ring network about the power being out. Never mind that there are still new fires popping up. One was about 6 miles away and one was 15 miles away and we were downwind from them.

3-4" of snow on most hard surfaces ... except the driveway. Less than an inch on there when I went out to check it this morning and much of that is gone now. Should be all gone by the end of the day.

Southern California. Just changed the oil in my generator for when they shut the power off due to the Santa Ana winds. This could also go in First World Problems. I thought that I needed to change the oil because I could not connect to the generator by wifi. While I was changing the oil I fixed the wifi problem and found out that I had another 90 hours of run time before I needed to change the oil.

As my wife said though, the generator is so important it is better to change the oil sooner rather than later. In fact she said to go give it a hug every so often. :)

EDIT: Power shut off at 2:45.

It snowed about 14" around here (Kansas City) last week and still hasn't melted. This morning, I couldn't even open 3/4 of my car doors because they were frozen shut (it was just above 0F). I love snow, but this is kinda ridiculous!

It’s turning cold ( for us) this week. Lows in the upper 20s…but little to no rain in the forecast.

the fun is about to start here tomorrow:

high of 1C and winds in the 60 km/h range followed by rain turning to freezing rain then turning to snow between noon and 3:00PM. Followed by frigid temps for several days.

Sunday a high of -8C and starting Monday through Thursday are highs of -13C with lows in the -20C range not including winchills near -30C.

Just lovely winter weather.

Really strange weather, it was like -6 or so in the evening, and it warmed up overnight, to around 0, and then it's suppose to drop drastically and go down to about -30 by tomorrow. I suspected this temp swing would create a storm system but there was no storm forecasted. Sure enough we just started getting a blizzard out of nowhere and now they have a snow squall warning in effect.

Santa Ana winds start tomorrow. My wife thinks our power will be shut off around noon. I think it might be a little later.
I already have a horrible cold and the Santa Ana’s mess with you anyway. Tomorrow will not be fun. :(
