Purely snowed briefly yesterday but it quickly turned to a freezing-rain mix of nasty slop .... the stuff that "crunches" when you drive over it .... got roughly 2 inches.

Good news is by the end of today's sunshine the roads were 90% dry and now they're saying rain only next storm.

Wet and windy here. Coastal flood advisory, high wind warning, blizzard warnings above 2000 feet. (I'm at less than 50') But some snow and ice predicted for the weekend.

24 freedom degrees here. Slight snow. Have about 2 inches of accumulation over the last few days. Had to fire up the tractor and plow the end of the driveway.
Supposed to be high of 0 and low if -8 this weekend. Winter might finally be here.

:shudder: We're supposed to have lows in the 20s this weekend...that's bad enough.

Storms blowing through the SE. Schools, county/city offices closed but everything shuts down if there's a possibility of a day off...er...I mean that super slippery Southern bullshit.

We had a real “WAHOOO!” of a storm last night. About an inch of rain, seemed like most of it in an hour…winds up to about 60 MPH. Trees down all over, power lines down all over, the local highway (only 2 lanes…the only way out of the area) is closed in several places because of large trees down across the road.

The NWS issued a rare “Blizzard Warning” last night. According to the news, only the 4th time they’ve ever done that in W. WA. I’m glad I don’t have to cross the Cascades today.

-10 feels like -18. Still very warm for this type of year though it's a different kind of cold so it hits harder. I would actually take the seasonal -30's over this tbh.

Also have a "significant snowfall warning" but it only says 15 cm so that's not really that much. We could use a lot more snow otherwise we'll have a nasty forest fire season in summer.

We have one coming into tonight. Fortunately, it will be rain in So. NH (~2"). Otherwise it'd be a blizzard with 40-50 mph winds.

My neighbor had 3-4 sections of fence blow over. Since it's between our properties, I MIGHT be on the hook for half the cost of replacing the fence. I'll have to look at my deed.

Snow(storm) was expected to start pre-dawn today, but it didnt start coming down until maybe an hour ago. Expected to be a mix of (10") snow and freezing rain, with winds up to 40mph. Temps aren't bad though, in the mid 20s to low 30s Fahrenheit.

We'll see how much it dumps on us through tomorrow morning. This is upper midwest (US) on lake Michigan.

Wind is really picking up, maybe we're actually going to get a storm. I start the early morning shift tomorrow, yuck. Going to have to try to get up extra early to deal with that if we do get hit with lot of snow. I find leaf blower actually works great for clearing the truck though, so much faster than the brush. If I keep the battery charged it will work fine even if the battery is left outside.

Well we got more than 15cm they were calling for. For once that weather warning was valid. Got hit decently hard and still coming down. Had to snow blow a path around the truck so I can actually clear it off. Glad I have 4x4 since most roads aren't plowed yet. This would have been a nice day to be off or scheduled to work from home. :p The drive is not so bad, it's digging out that's not fun.

We needed this snow though. We still need more.

Wow apparently the college has a snow day today. That's very rare. Back when I was in college doesn't matter how bad it was out, get your ass to class! The city buses are always running.
