Ah, I've found the problem: you're poor. On a hot night, I do what us 1%ers can afford to do: turn on the AC.

Not really. Anyone who has a wind chime should DIAF. I don't open my windows but you should be able to without having to hear crap from your neighbors. There is a thing called common decency.

No, that's what the people hanging the noisy toy are doing. They are thinking the world revolves around them and no one else. I am saying have some consideration for your neighbors.

I like how the wooden or banboo or whatever they are made of sound like ... but in general, i find wind chimes to be annoying.

Here in TX, opening windows on a hot night will make your room hotter. The only solution is recirculated air from the A/C 😀

I'd ask the neighbor to take it down and if it still is an issue, landlord second.
