I've had dozens of PDAs, both Pocket PC and palm, and they are both good. Right now, I'm using a Palm Vx.
Sure, PPC has all these newfangled features and can do really amazing things for its size, but in the end, all of these things were just gimmicks to me. Just because you can do something, doesnt mean you should.
PPC has better games, but games for both PPC and palm pretty much equally suck. I havent wanted to play any for more than 5 minutes.
PPCs have these super fast processors, but when using the actual PDAs applications, PPC is no faster than a palm.
PPCs have better and badder screens, but in the end, the actual usability hasnt changed much, its just a prettier screen.
If you can afford it, go all out and buy a PPC. Theyre definitely cooler than the palms. But as far as actual usability goes for most things, its still about neck and neck. Sure you can watch a movie while surfing the net on a wireless network with 4 Mp3s playing in the background while you read an ebook and have 10 applications open on a pocket PC, but why the hell would you want to, other than to say you could? I used to do all of the above, but then I realized it was pointless. Maybe toying with PDAs has just gotten old for me.
