Just bought a gamecube, go me!

Buy Mario Party 5. I don't have a Gamecube (Xbox is the real system [/jab]) but I forced one of my friends to buy it after playing one of the originals. This game rocks so hard when your with a bunch of friends, and the nintendo cornyness actually passess off as halarity if you treat it so.

personally i found myself playing mario kart more often than mario party..
mario kart is fun whether you play 1 player, 2, 3, or 4..
mario party is not that fun if you have less than 3 people..
mario golf is somewhat boring.. the control and the view of the field (especially the flag and green) is bad..

needless to say, you have to get eternal darkness -D
others can also vote for super smash brothers (d'uh) and soul calibur 2 (especially since it's now player's choice lineup)

for single player, zelda and viewtiful joe gets my vote.

Also for a party game snag WarioWare for GC. At first I thought it was just another lame port, but it turns out they added a bunch of new multiplayer modes. 1 on 1 is fun, but 4 player is really fun. Check it out. Seriously.

If you got friends with GBAs, get Four Swords. It's silly amounts of fun. Just remember in vs. mode, you're still deadly even when you're dead provided you are in the right location.

My personal favorites for GC, in no particular order: F-zero, Metroid Prime, 1080 Snowboarding (so underrated), Smash Bros, Soul Caliber, monkey ball 2. Although theres a ton more great games.
