Just bought a 2002 Chrysler Neon LE... but changed my mind.

It's called buyers remorse and a well known after the buy effect that most people get. I would not get a Neon over a Civic. Ask me which one is most likely to still be on the road in 10 to 12 years.

I suggest a quick peak between your legs buddy....

This is a place for comments, not whining cuz u got smacked around by a car salesman like he was your pimp....lol...he isnt even a USED cars salesman...shame on you 🙂

Anyhoo....get with the darned program. You're the consumer. You can choose your own car....you can pretty much name a reasonable price on it these days and you can get it. HONESTLY, YOU WANT PITY AND U CAME HOME, WENT TO YOUR COMPUTER, STILL NOT KNOWING WHAT THE BADGE ON THE BACK OF YOUR CAR SAYS!!!!!! Unfortunately I like R/T Dodges...just about all of um. I would still get a nissan sentra SE-R or a corolla or if its in your price range, a VW golf or something over the neon....Come on now...it is a neon

which? actually, don't bother.. I only want each car I have for 3 years or so anyways. hence when the Neon is my favorite bargain car.

The Neon is a piece of crap. You couldn't give me one unless you stuffed it full of $100.00 bills and a naked super model on top. Now this is my opinion so if you don't like it, tuff.

haha.... ok then spazzo.. i was merely saying that i couldn't care less if the car doesn't last 10 years because i don't plan on having it anywhere near that long.. and no it's not a piece of crap.. it's actually a better car than i thought it would be.. next time you pull up to a light in some piece of sh1t civic beside a neon.. kiss your ass goodnight.. to me, that's important.. 😉 tuff!

yeah that edmunds review is crap.. so much stuff they say is just not right.. i have to disagree i've driven all of the cars minus the Lancer and i still say good things about the neon... those ppl got some kinda bias going.. it's crap.

To all those bashing his car "just cause it's a Neon" needs to calm down and go get a hobby. Dollar for Dollar a Neon is every bit as good as your precious Civics and Sentras. Go get a hug if you need the attention, and stop ragging on a decent car.

You all have convinced me, I'm going out tomorrow to buy 2.

I drive a Yugo. Now there is a happening car! Downhill it can do 0 to 60 in 3 days.
I'm mostly pulling your chain man, chill out. It's your money do what ya want with it. Any car that starts in morning is good in my book. 🙂

OMG, its not an import.
Drifting a bit OT here...

First off, since when is Marysville, Ohio considered foreign? 🙂
Second, to counter your response: I think that Dalmier Chrysler is every bit as foreign as Honda of America. Prove me wrong.

Also, this whole business with the "He forced the car on me." is BS. If you can't handle a new car salesman, you're in a world of hurt buddy.

^^^ LMAO

Anyway, Neon is an OK car for me. I need it to drive to school and work, and back. I don't think I need a supped up 250HP Civic or similar to do the job.
Though the salesman pissed me off with his attitude and urge to get rid of that car will pay for it cause I'm getting my $ back. I fvcked up but I'm gonna get myself out of it as I didn't actually go to the dealer to buy a damn car. Well, was going to Levi's to buy myself a pair of Jeans when I saw an add of 0% purchase financing and 0% lease on all models. I'm shopping for a car though that is still about month and a half away.

And oh yeah, for those who say that I should've said NO. I did, Twice I believe. Yet I still found myself walking away with a receipt of my downpayment. Maybe that's some sick joke from the dealer or something. I gave him the CC to run a credit check on me... He came back and told me that he charged $1000 for a downpayment on the Neon. I was pissed at the moment; but held my emotions; signed the receipt and exited. Took the paper work with me but I didn't fill out anything. There I've said it. Call me a moron again but take it to consideration that I've never been to a dealership by myself before trying to get more info on the cars. I just turned 20 about a month ago.

this thread made me feel a LOT BETTER

I've bought things on AT and EBAY, and felt like a complete inpulse buyer that cant save a dime.

Now this brought that idea to a new level, i feel a lot better there is someone crazier than me. Either that or stupid.

You just bought one of the worst cars ever made! I was given a Neon twice (two different Neons) as rentals, and both times they've broken down on me on the freeway. I had an acquaintance with one, it goes out on her too...she HATES it with a passion.

I don't want to be mean so don't take it personal, but that was STUPID making a purchase without knowing anything about it.

Hey I wanna hear out everyone on it. LOL even the AT mod.
I don't get angry at any of the statments as hopefully I'll learn to take my mommy with me to the mean dealer next time lolz.

You were doing OK, up till the point where you signed the receipt. You never, ever should have signed the receipt. That changed the whole situation (legal standpoint) from an over-zealous car dealership to a buyer with cold feet.

I know you're new to cars, but have you never used the CC before either? Don't you know that when you sign a CC receipt, you accept the charges being applied to your card?

That's why I'm calling my VISA at 8AM in the morning to cancel the crap. It always takes about 24hrs till they make the transfer. It shows in my VISA inquiry that nothing has been withdrawn yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

This is the part where you confirm you are a GODDAMN MORON. I'm speechless that someone could be this stupid yet STILL have a CC.

Yes lol.

And the best part is that I used to call others like me the same thing you guys throw at me 🙂. I'm just happy to join the club. But you learn by your mistakes.
