No one mentioning why he did it? I'm pretty sure it has to do with forfeiture laws.

Investigators said at a news conference Wednesday that there did not appear to be any rhyme or reason to the drivers Wester, 26, singled out for false arrests on drug possession. Some were parents with a diaper bag in the back seat. Others were young men and women, some crying as they insisted they had never touched drugs, let alone meth, in their lives.

Asked by reporters why Wester would do this, State Attorney William “Bill” Eddins of Florida’s 1st Judicial Circuit said that was a good question. Investigators were still trying to figure it out themselves, he said.

Is that a real question? As opposed to non-random. As in organized or perhaps systemic, like we've seen happen at an alarming rate with police officers. This seems to be a random isolated piece of shit for a change.

He had absolute power at the time that he pulled these people over. Just because its temporary doesn't make it less despicable to abuse. But hey, just can't help trying to quibble can ya? (Well obviously, since you otherwise can't defend the cop here and are desperate to prove that you don't just always defend cops at all times, except here you are doing exactly that...).

So when's your "brother" going to show up and activate your Wonder Twin powers so you can become Quibbles 'n Bits and circle jerk each other into another round of "we don't actually understand what fallacies are so we'll accuse others of using them while we do it ourselves"?

Do you ever take that stick out of your ass or did your parents not tell you how 'special' you were enough? Also, I still think it had to do with forfeiture laws.

You obviously didn`t read the article or you are dumber than a block of wood!
Explain to mew how forfeiture would work if the ticket was already written and after the fact after the person was ticketed and left thew scene, more charges were added??? No mention of forfeiture or confiscation of vehicles was mentioned in the article!

State or county or town/city will be on the hook for damages. A Cop is an employee.
This could be ugly. Imagine if you town had to raise property taxes to cover a bunch of lawsuits about a cop planting meth on people. As stated before, the dude who lost custody of his kid, let’s say there is another who lost custody of a kid for more than a decade. How do you compensate for that other than a huge sum of cash.
