What for? She was found not guilty. Now OJ can go on oprah and saw he killed his wife... same thing with this case.

I wonder what the options are for the sentencing related to the minor charges that she was convicted of. The judge might still be able to throw the book at her for those, but that will be very minor.
 
Florida is one of the worst states when it comes to the protection of children from adult abuse. This is what you have to realize in this verdict. Also Florida is full of people from New York and other liberal destinations. It is drugs and party central of the USA.
 
On the bright side, now I can have sex with her and know that at worst I only have to pay child support for a few years.



edit: before mods give me an infraction... this is a horrible thing that she did and I believe that she is guilty. Anytime a child dies it is sad and should be prevented or severly punished if there was malice/negligence involved. It's too bad the prosecution couldn't prove that she was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt to the jury. I don't know the specifics of the case, but I don't see why everybody cares so much. If it's because of a crime against a child, while I agree it's horrible, there are many more atrocities that happen all the time. From Africa and East Asian child labor nations, to poverty, to malnutrition, to the poor and homeless children in the US. We can never prevent crimes like the murder of a child without giving up all of our rights, but we could prevent many of the children (at least here in the US) from death due to what amounts to negligence or inability to support a child. Where is the outrage there?

She has done a lot of time already served.

She is completely free of the legal system now.

My point was, do the Police have enough confidence in the case that they won't be pursuing anyone else. That's what happened with OJ as you more or less stated.

Now don't get me wrong, I believe she did it or at the very least was involved in Caylee's death. But there is no hard and fast evidence in this case.

Interesting that her parents left the courtroom immediately after the verdicts. Did Casey's dad do it? Did she actually drown? Will we ever know?

The people from New York that live in Florida tend to be the retirement community people. I highly doubt they are drug/party central.
 
Looks like she was found "not guilty" because of reasonable doubt. The Prosecution did not present their case.

Watching Nancy Grace and Dr.Drew in HLN and seeing their reactions.

Outside of Miami/Tampa-St.Pete/Orlando it's almost entirely rednecks.

Truth - FL is a very diverse state but there's one thing we have too much of, fundie Christians in and around the Orlando area.

You should come visit and conduct some first hand research next time.

What is reasonable doubt? 80% sure? 75% sure? 95%?
Its a gray line that "EFF's" with your head once charged.
I have served on a murder jury once and was first alternate to another.
The judges I had explain it VERY well. Follow your common sense. Follow your gut. Use your life experiance to decide.
Some people, need a number. I can rememeber passionate debate where this woman was 98% sure of guilt but 2% was reasonable doubt for her.
We lost a day of our life getting her to 99% (Yes, we did convict).

She is guilty by reason of stupidity. She should at least not be able to have kids again.

I am not surprised at this at all. Something like this that doesn't have overwhelming facts that can be shown can easily go one way or another. Considering in many people's lives facts no longer mean anything. I mean look at people not believing in evolution, relativity, moon landing,...
