Group Rates on Tickets
Groups of fifteen or more people can save $11.95 per ticket on the date of your visit. Tickets can be purchased at least three weeks in advance and will be shipped UPS or send your reservation and money at least a week in advance and pick them up at the Group Sales Booth.

More Information

This seems like a good idea but who would be willing to organize the order, pay for the tickets, and either mail them or hand them out the day of the event? What would happen if some people decided not to come at the last minute? These tickets would have a ten-dollar surge charge to be used any other day. Plus they might be a few of us taking advantage of the two-day pass deal here

Hotels Available for Overnighters
There are several hotels in and around Sandusky, Ohio where overnight travelers can stay. The wife & I have stayed in Hotel Breakers before and it was very nice. But there are other options as well. Here is a list of the hotels we would recommend that have easy access to the park.

Breakers Express is a value-priced hotel located on Cedar Point Drive - just a short jaunt from the hustle and bustle of the amusement park. With 350 rooms; plus an outdoor swimming pool, spa and game room, Breakers Express offers among the lowest rates in the Sandusky area!

The choices start at $94.00 a night for a 2-queen beds suite.

Hotel Breakers is a historic hotel which has been on the park property since 1905. It has pools, hot tub, gameroom, and five restaurants to choose from.

The choices start at $105.00 a night for a single queen bedroom.

Sandcastle Suites Hotel is located at the tip of the Cedar Point peninsula. This exclusive resort hotel features 187 two-room suites, an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, tennis courts, a charming gazebo, gift shop and more.

The choices start at $225.00 a night for a 2-queen beds suite.

Still not sure when I'm going this summer but I'd just like to say the Sandcastle Suites are really nice and the employees were really helpful. When we went they accidently gave us a smoking room instead of a non smoking room so they took off some of the cost and gave us some Fabreeze :)

I can help do something, I have buttloads (yes, BUTTLOADS) of time to do stuff at work. :D

As for the hotel...I guess it depends on when the Oakland County people are heading down...I wouldn't mind going down and partying in a hotel room for an evening, but then I realized that a good portion of the group doesn't do the whole "drink until you can't see anymore"-thing.

So we'll see. ;)

Now lets plan a loose schedule of events.

Where and when to first meet?

Where and when to eat lunch?

Late Afternoon goodbye session

And we all can have fun in-between.

I'd be interested but I'm taking vacation and wont be able to afford it! My wife sure would love to go to the point, shes never been!

Are their any updates? As long as my car is fixed by then, and my parents allow me to drive it; I plan to go. Quixfire, can you tell me which hotel you booked at, because I am not familiar with the area, and would prefer a decent hotel for one or two nights (price in 100-150 range is fine, as long as the room is nice, and hotel is not garbage). Also, did you buy the tickets online?

Leaving for Cedar Point Sunday morning and staying until Wednesday. Just thought I'd drop in to brag about it :D

Woohoo dragster, 2.5 hour lines for a 30 second ride that gives you the biggest rush you'll ever experience :D

Mrs. Quixfire here, We are staying at Hotel Breakers. It is costing us 105.00 for one night. It is there most basic room that you can get.
We would like everyone to meet at the main gate between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. . If you stay at Hotel Breakers, the second day you get to get into the park before the main gate is open which gets you in line early for the rides.
We have not got our tickets yet, but we are going to get the Ride and Slide for two day pass. Going to call the hotel to see of we can get the tickets cheeper there then buying them online.

Look forward to meeting everyone

Thanks for the update! I was thinking that when we get close to the 11th, we could compile a private list of cell #s, incase we have to call anyone in the group?

Or not. I don't know what my reasoning was behind that, really...huh.

Anywho, good stuff :D

Hello Gang,
We are down to two weeks before the Cedar Point meeting. I have posted a rough schedule of events on the first page and was wondering if there was any additional feedback?

I would also like to know is still planning on coming to the event?

Should we exchange cell phone numbers?

And if you are coming are you bring a lunch or do you plan on buying you meals at the Point?

Do you want nametags and if so what sould they be like?

Thanks and could we get a sticky?
