The schedule of events, as small as it is, is on the first page and if there are any changes I would like to complete them in the next two days. They are a few members with needs in order to come to the event listed on the first page next to their name.

Please post you are still planning on coming and if you need any help to get to the park.
Quite honestly, I'm not going to know for sure until Saturday. I would count me out unless I hear concrete from a buddy of mine.

Well if you figure out that you and your b/f can go, I remember that you attend OU, right? I'm in Troy, so it would be close...I'd really like to ride down with people, as I tend to fall asleep driving long distances alone ;)

At the moment I have no way of getting there as both mine and my girlfriend's cars are in the shop.

Sorry guys, I was thinking about it but I just drove round trip to Chicago a little over a week ago, and I don't trust my truck enough to go very far now.

Would you still go if you carpooled with someone?

alright, so seriously, who's going!? I don't want to be a hypocrit, so I'll drive down alone if I have to, since I haven't been to CP in almost 2 years...the weather's supposed to be sh*tty and Top Fuel Dragster is down...

And worst of all...I'd have to wake up early! ;)

Proabably too late now (I tried to post the other day but browser crashed after typing a big post and I gave up), but...If you didnt want to stay in the expensive hotels on CP's property, there are others close by that are much cheaper. You wouldn't get the early entry, but for the price difference in hotels, you could get a Freeway (link 2) for TTD and MF, and pay for parking, and still come out ahead.

I believe you can get discount tickets at Tops and Meijers grocery stores. And you can email or call the park and they'll send you a getaway guide w/ coupons (yeah, too late now), but you can download it too...and the coupons. Another discounts page.

BTW, if you've never ridden MF in the front seat, it's well worth the extra wait. As would be WT (and back). There are some guides online with plans on how to ride all the coasters in one day. BTW, besides TTD and MF, lines for Mantis can get long too, so if it's short in the morning, go ahead and ride it. Raptor's lines vary. If it's long, come back later (or even at night).

Yes, it's possible TTD may be down. It may be down for a couple minutes, or all day. There is no other coaster with the exact same mechanics, so they're still working out the bugs. BTW, don't complain to the park. At least they had the guts to try a one of a kind $25,000,000. coaster like this. If you have to complain, do it to the manufacturer. For TTD ride status, see here, which today says it 'should' be running. Though the webcam this morning showed it not running, it looks like now maybe it's getting ready to as there's a small line and an employee in the station. It's possible when you go that it may not open until later in the day or night, but I definately wouldn't go if riding TTD is your main reason since it could be down.

Thanks for the post Slickone. The wife & I are going no matter what the weather or if TTD is down. We haven't been away from the kids in several months, so if the weather outside awful we will be having fun inside. ;)

Also note that if you go to CP, you're not far from Geauga Lake (formerly S.F. Worlds of Adventure but greatly improved), and maybe 3 hours from King's Island. I went to a coaster event there June 26th, when they also officially celebrated The Beast's 25th birthday that day since we were there. Got to walk back to the back side of Beast and it's Son. But the whole season is Beast's 25th anniversary. Lots of good souviners.

One of the cakes PKI made for us.
I'm in this pic, black T-shirt with small white circle on pocket area (Z-car). Here's where we were in that pic (very back of side of track circuit). Another.

More pics...Text. Text. Text.

It looks like only EvilYoda, my wife and myself are planning on going tomorrow.

I'm sorry nobody else could make it this year, may we could do it again next year.

If it were closer half the distance closer than 9 hours from me, I would have gone! How was it?
