Forgety said that there is no basis in the law for changing a child's first name where both parents are in agreement about it. He also said that Ballew's decision violates the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

Will people be demanding a new law to ban certain names?

I feel sorry for the kid. BUT the judge was wrong.

Yeah, even if the name is silly, they have the freedom to name their child as they see fit.

Maybe they "should" think of the long-term ramifications of naming him -- applying for a job, dealing with stupid school kids etc....not saying those factors should ultimtely decide, but its still worth considering.
