If they are living in this country illegally... they're illegal.

Judge Bans Use Of ?Illegal? and ?Aliens?

Arizona?s Supreme Court chief justice has agreed to enforce the Hispanic Bar Association?s demands of banning the terms ?illegal? and ?aliens? in all of the state?s courtrooms.

Claiming that the terms are inflammatory, the president of Arizona?s Hispanic Bar Association, (known as Los Abogados) has asked state Supreme Court Chief Justice Ruth McGregor to stop using them at trials or hearings because they create perceptions of judicial bias.

In a strongly worded letter to the chief justice, Los Abogados? president says attaching an illegal status to a person establishes a brand of contemptibility, creates the appearance of anti-immigrant prejudice and tarnishes the image of courts as a place where disputes may be fairly resolved.

It further points out that no human being is illegal and that a national Hispanic journalism association has roundly criticized the reference for dehumanizing a segment of the population. The letter goes on to criticize the state?s High Court for using the term ?illegals? in at least two opinions and the term ?illegal aliens? in dozens of others.

It concludes with a list of acceptable and unacceptable terms relating to illegal immigration. Among those the group wants banned are; immigration crisis, immigration epidemic, open borders advocates, anchor babies and invaders. Among the acceptable terms are foreign nationals, unauthorized workers and human rights advocates. Click here to see the entire list as well as Chief Justice McGregor?s promise to enforce the requests.

This is going to go bad very quick. *lawnhair + beer + popcorn* I can understand the reason why they did this, and I'm not really complaining since it really does not effect me in any way, so I don't really care for what goes on in that regard.

My flamebait:
humans are still humans. We are an immigrant nation built by immigrants.

/flame away! 😛

The judge decreed that the new term acceptable for use in the courts was "criminal invaders."

I would rather be called an alien or an illegal, invading/invaders has a more negative connotation than the others.

From now on, if a person uses the word "n*****," it must be at least seven words away from the word "guy."

lol 😀

this reminds me of how racist black holes are

The term doesn't really make sense. How can a person be legal or illegal. What they are doing is what is legal or illegal. I've always had a problem with this term and am glad to see that action is being taken.

Haha, isn't that what they are though? Illegal Alien is an "unacceptable term?" I can just picture a hoity-toity snot-nosed political-type saying that. They're in the country ILLEGALLY because they climbed/cut through a fence and ran past signs telling them not to, and they're ALIENS, defined as: relating, belonging, or owing allegiance to another country or government (Merriam-Webster.com).

I think it's a perfect term to describe them.

Why is there a Spanish Bar Association? Do they live under different laws than us gringos?

The thing is there are a lot of groups like CAIR and others who are literally using our own political correctness against us. Just like this group and especially the Judge.

this is about as bad as the judge years ago rulling that a rape victim can't use the word rape in the court case.

A person who comes to America from another country is an alien. If they come without a visa, they have done so in an illegal fashion. In other words, they are an illegal alien. Only a complete fvcking retard would think the word is implying that there very existance is illegal.
