If you patent something, you MUST be manufacturing it, or no patent for you.

The problem with these companies is that they wait so long before making a complaint, if they had the patent for all these things then they should have pressed Nintendo the moment they violated it, not 7 years later.

I guess you could have your patent for a limited time before applying it in a product to maintain it.

Nintendo should license their cross d-pad, Sony's solution was almost as good (thankfully) but the 360's D-Pad is hideous, horrible and shouldn't even be in the controller.

This is why Atari is still around. They patented every single thing they ever made from the first pong system in the mid 70s and the 2600 in the late 70s. They pretty much get paid from every console maker in the world.

Are you joking? Atari are nothing but a brand name and have been such for about 15 years.
