You won't get true understanding out of Matt1970; only repetition of talking points, since he can't actually think for himself.

Go back and read. He is refering to Fox as ALL of the mainstream media. He is also refering to MSNBC as Middle/Right. You sure you want to jump on that ship?

Thanks for proving the point.

The left cannot stand the fact that there is one. ONE news network that isn't towing the party line.

So indoctrinated in their beliefs, they cannot stand anyone stepping out of line.

So far gone into nutter ville, that even when the guy[jon] himself says he's a lib, and his show leans lib, they'll deny it.

I didn't indicate his show leans lib because he wants to attack libs. Conservatives provide the most material to mock.

Well Shadow is one of the rare extreme left you'll see. Usually the farthest left people you'll see are as far from center as the average right. I linked several charts that showed that the average in Congress has the Senate at 50% further from center than the left and in the House it's 75% further from center. But Shadow is the rare individual that's as far left as the far right is right. So he's the opposite number on the left from, well you. So like how you're so far right that you see other things on the right as leftist, he's so far left that he sees other things on the left as conservative.

I don't think you have followed my posts very close then. You let me know when I start refering to Fox as middle/left.

Umm, no I didn't... just that they are the biggest and most watched one...and they are hard right.

If you know me so well, please list 5 areas and where I stand in them that has given you reason to categorize me.

The Democrats are further right than the conservatives in every other first world country. Not everyone lives in a bubble.

No, you need to prove the "MSNBC is middle/right at best" statement you made. You have provided no examples whatsoever proving that.

The Democrats are middle/right, which I have given plenty of examples for. You refuse to address any. At best, you could say they are more democrat. AT BEST.

Now pleaaaase stop dodging the actual studies we both listed... You know, the one that was posted saying they had the same coverage and the one showing much more negative for Obama.

That's ok, just explain how MSNBC is Middle/Right.

I just did. Look at this last series of posts. It wasn't the first time I explained it either.

It also isn't ok to purposely ignore actual data...especially when the best you could come up with doesn't even support your premise. Each and every dodge of yours is confirmation by you that you are wrong.

Fair enough, point taken. But to be fair, the harder shift left of MSNBC is more recent than the hard right stance of Fox. There was a period of time when msnbc was mostly middle or only a bit left, the shift has been in recent years. I'm not sure I'm aware of a time when Fox wasn't solid right. Anyone who doesn't watch cable news much could be clearly aware of Fox's rightwing bias as they've been that way for over a decade and it's become a caricature. The leftwing bias of msnbc isn't as old and hasn't become a caricature yet.

Oh I think I see what you are doing. You are trying to make a sweeping generalization that all the Democrats are middle/right including those on MSNBC. I am sure most of Democrats will disagree with you on that. I think I will go by what most of America views left and right as, not some by what some other nation views it as.

Given what was already out there I think it was a wise choice for them. If not they are just another news channel.

How many of your ideas and opinions line up with "most Americans"?

Or just those about the media?

The democratic part is middle/right by all of its policies. The Republicans are so far right, that ANY party would seem "left" if compared to them. That still doesn't make the democrats left though. it means that the Republicans are off the cliff right and the democrats, which are more conservative than ever now, middle/right, if not outright right.

If perspective of other nations don't matter, then Iraq under Saddam was left wing because it was the most progressive of the ME, allowing women to get education and drive. Therefore all the inhabitants would have considered the regime to be liberal.
