I actually saw a 'Sarah Palin 2012' bumper sticker in a parking lot last weekend. Had to grab a shot of it... LINK

Trust me, Palin won't run again in 2012. No one wants to see Obama win a second term.

Yeah, no one except for the two thirds of Americans who approve of his performance so far. (approximately)

Thats called the "honeymoon", and Obama is not outstanding as far as early approval ratings.

Check the tenses. Rudder didn't say "no one in 2012 will want to see Obama run again."

Christianity Today is a leftist magazine?

Be honest. John McCain created Joe the Plumber by mentioning him numerous times in a debate. Joe the Plumber makes appearances in the conservative media and events that are sponsored by Republicans and or conservatives.

I never said Christianity Today is a leftist magazine. I say if he wasn't attacked and ridiculed by the left and the media, he would never have been in Christianity Today. Ever occur to you he may be speaking out more _because_ of the way he was treated? Because he didn't like the way the media handled the initial incident?

Actually, on the subject, I sometimes flip over to Olbermann on MSNBC for a few laughs. I guess they're putting on a new host for some morning show, and he was guest on Countdown, and he was talking about Bristol Palin, going off on this bullshit nonsense that her appearances on morning shows was all masterminded by the GOP in a plot to shift the national spotlight away from economic issues and onto social issues. And this guy is getting his own show...

It's the same situation. If the left would have ignored her from the start, instead of attacking and ridiculing her (and she wasn't even a public figure making public statements or anything), she'd have faded into obscurity already.

I have been trying to work out your reasoning on this one.

1. The GOP created JTP to increase the appeal to the blue collar vote by mentioning him numerous times in a debate and having him onstage at political rallies.

2. The left victimize JTP by reporting who he is. He is not a licensed plumber. He owed back taxes. The business he mentioned to Mr Obama did not earn more that $250,000, etc.

3. In response to being victimized by the left, JTP hired a publicity management agent, took a job promoting cable boxes, put up a website asking for 99 cents to protect votes to abolish the IRS, etc.

4. If the left had not victimized JTP he would never had done a interview with Christian Today where he said that homosexuals were queers and he would not let them near his kids.

Nope, don't buy the victimization bit. JTP is an icon created by the GOP and Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher saw an opportunity and is running with it.

Man, that guy is dense. I can't believe anyone would put a mic in front of this ignorant twit let a lone publish his illiterate babble...then again, this is the party that gave us Sarah Palin.

You could be right about this. But it's like a person possibly having cancer. It needs to be looked after.

We'll never know and anyone who claims to know is just speculating.

I really don't mind keeping old Joe in the spotlight. Making fun of him is a good time, he makes the GOP look insane, and the only people who actually listen to him seriously are people that were never going to change their minds anyway.

The whole palin (and family apologetics) and joe the plumber show really disappointed me. I knew the party exemplified commonness but had no idea to what depths. I was particularly disheartened to hear some well educated family members and friends defending them. I lost some respect for many that may never be restored. The suspension of disbelief is disgusting.

Their faults should be trumpeted until the party stops embracing such mediocrity.

Uh, I don't believe it's the left that's keeping him in the public eye.

Joe is a nobody and a washed-up 'has been'...if you really want good humor I suggest listening to Harry Reid.

Harry Reid says plenty of dumb things, but I'm unaware of him saying anything as mind bogglingly stupid/homophobic/funny as 'I have gay friends, but I would never let them near my kids', or 'the press shouldn't report on war, things were better when all we had were government propaganda films'.

If you've got some funny quotes from Reid you should post them, I'll laugh at him too. If I had to pick one to listen to forever though it would be Joe no question.

Joe is a joke...no question about that...but he's not in a high level government position either now is he? I looked up a lot of Harry Reid quotes to help lighten up our day...but unfortunately, after looking at them for a second time, they're not funny...not very funny at all. But hey...I heard that SP's third cousin is a homo....yuk, yuk, yuk.

Joe was championed as a standard bearer of the republican party - representative of core values. I don't see that their principles have changed. People easily forget if not constantly reminded. It won't be him that gets trotted out the next time but there will be a next time and it will probably be even more outrageous.

Here's a 5-Star review of Joe's book on Amazon. Took me a second to catch on.

1,204 of 1,312 people found the following review helpful:
5.0 out of 5 stars Joe ain't no average American, March 2, 2009
By Gen. JC Christian, patriot (Tremonton, UT United States) - See all my reviews

RINO spinmeisters, aided and abetted by the liberal media, have promoted Joe the Plumber as being an everyman, the archetypical "average American." This book shatters that image.

Joe the Plumber is not the "average American." He's the "average conservative," and I thank God for that.

Last year, the "average American" elected an Harvard educated constitutional law professor to the presidency. Average conservatives knew better. They rallied behind Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin, people like ourselves; people I proudly call "mediocre Americans."

And that's why Joe is still so immensely popular. He's angry, vicious, ignorant, and intellectually incurious. He's one of us, and like us, he didn't learn about public policy and international relations at a university or from books or journals; he learned everything he needed to know by tuning into Rush, Hannity, Savage, and Ingraham.

This is a great book, one every true conservative should buy, and more importantly, read. Yes, I know that sounds like a tall order, but it's an easy read. Joe uses one and two syllable words (many of them, written forms of various grunts) almost exclusively. If I have one complaint, it's that the publisher, Pearlgate, printed it in ink rather than crayon like the original manuscript. Other than that, I think it truly is the perfect book for the average conservative.

This thread is about Joe the Plumber saying dumb things that are funny, you mentioned that if I wanted to see some really funny things that I should check out Reid's quotes. Now it appears that you're just trying to bash Harry Reid and while that's certainly your right to do I don't really see what 'Harry Reid is a bad senate majority leader' has to do with this thread.

If you do happen to find any funny Harry Reid quotes though, by all means pass them on!

Facepalm indeed. Don't worry Doc, you'll get it right someday. Keep reaching for that rainbow!
