Seriously, some of you guys need to pay attention to what the man actually said.
he said he would LIKE to BUY A PLUMBING BUSINESS that would make over $250,000 a year. A plumbing business, meaning, he would have several plumbers working for HIM.
So why the hell should I care? He wants to own a plumbing business, I would like to own a company myself someday...where's MY centerpiece appearance in the campaign?
Maybe if Obama comes to YOUR neighborhood you can ask him too? But I have a feeling, Obama has learned his lesson with Joe the Plumber and wont be answering random questions on the fly like that for the rest of the campaign. The guy does great with a teleprompter, but when he wings it like he did in this incident, he shows then real policies he supports.
Well that's a different issue, and one that only reveals how much the Republicans rely on taking a choice of words and trying to turn them into lame attacks on candidates ("global test" ring any bells?). But whatever you think about what Obama said, the fact is that Joe the Plumber shouldn't STILL be a factor in the campaign...the focus should be on what Obama did or did not say, if anything, not on some random guy who happened to be standing there when he said it. McCain kept bringing him up in a rally today, for example...that seems pretty strange to me.
