Joe the Plumber? More like Joe the Scammer

Phokus

http://irsvote.com/why-99.html

Gotta hand it to him, he's really milking his 15 minutes for all it's worth... and i have a feeling a lot of idiot conservatives are going to fall for this and actually pay 99 cents for a vote that doesn't mean anything. It's really an indictment of the conservative movement that they haven't run this moron out of town yet.

sheesh, Dude needs to just pay his Taxes already. Sorry Joe, the IRS will not be brought down before you're required to Pay up.

LOL @ Republicans. Spend trillions, but don't want to pay for it. But they always get conservative when a Dem takes office. Hypocrites.

You can't get rid of the IRS (and I'd love to) without getting rid of a lot of spending. As for the "fair tax," I think it's more of the same, curing the symptoms rather than the disease.

They do seem to be the best you all have. If you all hadn't raped the world the last eight years, I'd feel sorry for you.

I didn't say he destroyed the world - I said the republicans raped it. I don't think bush had much of a say in any of it.

We can only hope that obama and his crew can start fixing things. It'll take a while since it took quite a while to break it.

I don't smoke weed - not even cigarettes anymore - if facts play any role in you comments.

Bitching around this dude's taxes, when it seems half the people Obama nominated for his Cabinet didn't pay their taxes, probably for far larger sums?

8% leftover after other costs.

Hmm. So if Joe-the-dumber, er, plumber gets (say) a million votes, there's $80,000 "leftover."

Then there's:

Due to the nature of our campaign we need to make sure every vote counts and do everything possible to make sure that the votes cannot be refuted in any way. Unfortunately, if a vote is made and payment is not collected it becomes difficult to authenticate the vote.

There is a possibility that some people may like to vote several times, charging the 99¢ will deter this from happening, therefore we follow all the necessary requirements to make sure that every vote counts and is fair and balanced.

I guess he should charge $100,000 per vote. That will almost certainly guarantee the vote is authentic.

What a brilliant man Mr. Joe is.

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including:

* A progressive national retail sales tax.

How can a sales tax be progressive? 😕

Oh probably, but none of them are trying all they can to avoid Paying.

Who will pay less taxes with a national retail sales or consumption tax system?

Once again Joe the Plumber, who is one face of the Republicans, is pushing a agenda that sticks it to the economic lower and middle classes.

Joe the plumber was against Mr Obama's plan to raise taxes on the wealthiest by 3% and cut taxes on the lower and middle class. Now he is supporting a tax plan that will increase the burden tax on people who have to spend more of their income on the basic necessities.

I would have to assume Joe the Plumber is making money hand over fist with his various publicity stunts, before he just owed a few thousand, I wonder what he owes the IRS now?

Somehow Joe strikes me as more of an grasshopper than ant type of character, and somehow I doubt Joe has been with holding his share of the taxes.

Joe will just love it if the IRS hits him up for estimated quarterly payments.

And maybe its time for Joe to have his Leona Hemsley moment and say taxes are just for the little people. It worked so well for Leona.

From the bottom of the page:

IRS Vote and its parent company and affiliates are for-profit enterprises, and are not affiliated with any political party or governmental agency.

Then there's . . .

So please remember every time an American registers their vote in this campaign it increases the money left over after the Telcos take their cut.

And . . .

Imagine the impact of taking the vote of 200,000,000 Americans . . . .

(I'm imagining, I'm imagining . . . Let's see, at 8%, that's $16 million to Joe!)

In other words, "the more people vote, the more profit I make."

hahahahaha

Joe is a joke.

Not sure how you guys come up with the 'face of the Republican Party" BS.

Al Sharpton ran for he President as a Democrat, does that make him the face of the Democrat Party?

Actually I wrote that Joe the Plumber was "a face" not "the face" of the Republican Party.

I thought the GOP embraced "Joe the Plumber" to broaden their appeal with the blue collar and working class voter.

Wikipedia has a good read on the GOP's interaction with "Joe the Plumber".

I do not think that Al Sharpton and Joe the Plumber are analogous in the roles in their parties. Do you think Joe the Plumber will make a run for president?

Joe and those support him are a real-life verbatim example of what I would personally create as a movie script if I could create a mocking portrayal of this country and its politics. This is the stuff of comedy, but it's real. And that doesn't make it funny.

Are you high!? His name was coming out of McCain's and dummy Palin's mouth every 30 seconds! That's where it came from! He might not be the "face" of the party, but you can blame the aforementioned boobs for thinking hoisting him up in front of the country was a good idea.
