All Fox had to do was keep calling Bernie a socialist to tank him.
Yes, and not only would he not deny it, he would make a powerful case as to why that’s a good thing because it is exactly what we need. Democrats need to move to the left, and not the authoritarian left. Clinton would and could not do that. Democrats depend way way too much on stayIng in the good graces of corporations. Fuck politicians, we need socialist revolutionaries, people who believe that the good of the many is best served by caring for every individual, not just political donors and voters.

All that the republican candidates have to offer is election lies. It would be interesting to see election lies go up against Bernie Sanders socialism especially when so many republicans believe that promoting election lies can bring down the price of a gallon of gas or raise a workers wage. Do they realize the stagnation that would occur if republicans took over? The only thing a republican congress would address is further lowering taxes for the 1% and promoting holidays to honor Donald Trump. Imagine the homeless becoming known as the middle class of America?

The woman who advocated for universal health care before it was a thing, who supported women’s rights, campaign finance reform, gun control, minimum wages, tax reform including raising taxes on the rich…on and on?

What’s amazing is that after decades or right wing propaganda, propaganda that you know to exist, you still fucking parrot right wing talking points!

The problem isn’t the candidates, it’s the voters and I suggest you take a good, hard, long look in the mirror to see if you can’t figure it out.

We know this. The real question you are not asking in my opinion is who had the best chance of reducing the number of vote lost it would produce. I think Sanders had the better chance. He was more focused in what people need to hear to counteract it.

I understand this viewpoint and think you misunderstand my point. The Clinton strategy has always been to appear as non-socialist as possible, to appear moderate, to say what is wrong with the other guy etc. Sanders is proud to be a socialist, to openly advocate for it, to defend it etc. That is where progressives, not radical leftists by the way, should be heading. Do not hide from the socialist tagging, I brace and wear it with pride. Humans have been socialists since before we claimed down from the trees. It is why we are an apex species.
