Job titles that imply unemployment

AndrewR

Lifer
You know what I mean -- those people who say they are "X", but are really unemployed and scraping by on selling their bodies or with help from their parents. This was spurred by the recent end of The Amazing Race because one of the guys is a "filmmaker".

Here's a few examples (obviously excluding those people that REALLY make it, which are completely in the minority):

-Actor
-Author
-Filmmaker

I could think of others, but nature calls. Add on!

I'd say call girl, but they're more along the lines of independant contractors working underneath a temp agency who places them with clients.

I don't know if it's true, but every time I hear it I assume they don't have a steady source of income.

Freelance ______(photographer, journalist, etc)

lame++;

Just about as lame as calling acting a non-working job. Or being an artist.

haha, you are a tard. being the head of one of the largest corporations in the world and throwing paint on a wall, ya i can see the equivalent.

Any kind of artist (musician, poet, writer, painter, sculpter, photographer, etc.)
Any kind of performer (juggler, dancer, magician, singer, etc)
Any kind of business consultant.
An entrepreneur without any business.

What i'm saying is he can decide how much work he'd put into it, the same way an artist can decide how much time to put into it.
