This may be a dumb question, but I thought I'd ask anyway. (it's the first "real" job application I've ever done. Cut me some slack.) I was digging around the local Conservation Department's website today and came across a job that I am interested in applying for. I doubt that I'd get it, but it's worth a shot 
Anyway, there is a salary range stated on the job page, and the standard application that they use asks for a minimum acceptable salary. Should I just put the base salary that was listed on the job page? I wouldn't mind taking a *little* less, as long as they don't try to get me to work for pocket change, but more is always nice, too.
