Job application question

This may be a dumb question, but I thought I'd ask anyway. (it's the first "real" job application I've ever done. Cut me some slack.) I was digging around the local Conservation Department's website today and came across a job that I am interested in applying for. I doubt that I'd get it, but it's worth a shot 🙂 Anyway, there is a salary range stated on the job page, and the standard application that they use asks for a minimum acceptable salary. Should I just put the base salary that was listed on the job page? I wouldn't mind taking a *little* less, as long as they don't try to get me to work for pocket change, but more is always nice, too.

Put "Negotiable" there. If you ask for too little, you'll get that. If you ask for too much, you may not get the job. See what they want to pay you and go from there.

Will do. Now all I need is a copy of my transcript and I'm good to go. Thanks everybody! 🙂
