I know he destroyed a Mustang GT to the point of the Mustang's passenger laughing at his driver.

Lol, it was pretty bad. His passenger went "Dude! You got fuckin' SMOKED!"

And later, chatting in a parking lot..."I TOLD you it was turbo!"

:p

PSSSH yeah it did too it said "PSSSH bitch please!"

Gotta be the most epic kill story I've heard in a long long time.

Awesome when you run into people who will hang out in a parking lot with you after.

haha, ya, for sure. My favourite response to being beaten was "aw man, I was like 'I got this' then you were, like, gone, and aw man, I... like... I felt bad man."

How does he not see jlees vanity plate. Dead give away to back off.

Driver: "We were even at the beginning!"
Passenger: "Well yeah, because you started in the same place...."

I believe my speedometer cable broke - I've had a bouncy needle for years, and it finally stopped working. I also had a minor clicking in reverse, which is now gone - I think the cable is toast. Two new ones on the way!

I'm told it's a two piece cable that connects under the car. ~$30 for both from Amazon.

I see. Mk1s are a one piece cable.

I thought maybe that was a subliminal message that you had two mr2s that needed the repair.

I drove it to a Fry's to get a 10 gauge fuse holder for my fuel pump controller while I was up there and I couldn't even putt around the parking lot without it going "wwwssSSHhpchchchchch" and guys turning their head like "uhm..." o_O

Pick on the orange gokart of death and there is NO excuse. You can't possibly not know.

Retorqued the head studs today and replaced two bolts in the downpipe that had worked loose from vibration. Time for some Nord Lock washers. I also tightened the alternator belt - it had loosened up substantially.

Next up is new coolant, speedometer cable replacement, and button the interior back up.

Been a while. The interior is mostly back together (just need to put the driver's sill plate back).

Trying to figure out the high RPM ECU loss of sync problem - found ~14.5v at the alternator output and 12.9-13v at the ECU. I'm having a friend check his car to see if that's normal, or if the ECU should be seeing straight-up alternator voltage.

I should be rebuilding the speed sensor today as well. Hopefully I can get a speedometer again!

IIRC The ECU would get power directly from the COR... the black with yellow stripe wire B and B+
Would there be loss because of that? if so, should be normal??

Did you do the Voltage Correction procedure? I just found out about it myself (and still need to do it).
It ticks me off that Megasquirt doesnt have more exact point by point installation procedures for the 3SGTE, because they completely skipped over setting up Dead Time and Voltage Correction which plays a HUGE part in being able to tune properly.

No, I didn't (haven't heard of it). I left dead time alone.

My speedometer works now! :D

EDIT: holy cow , typing in while in a hurry on a phone sure makes things incomprehensible. I'll fix it up here.
Ya, neither had I heard of it.

I guess you are supposed to set your battery voltage correction to zero, then calculate dead time by switching between 2 squirts simultaneous and 4 squirts alternating (or vise versa - can't remember the original settings). And adjust the dead time until the afr reads the same between them. You need to turn off the car in between changes from 2 to 4 squirts.
Then once your dead time is set, you are supposed to unplug your alternator and adjust battery voltage correction until it reads the same as when the alt was plugged in.

Here's my megasquirt thread where I first heard of it.
