I'm more concerned with finding new OEM EFI harness connectors though.

May need to buy an engine harness from someone parting out their car. Thats what I did. Even if its all hacked up, thats ok, because you only need the plugs off of it.

I want brand new though, not cracked, oily, and tarnished!

A friend of mine talked with (and bought parts from) a company does in-vehicle engine and component testing. I.e. they drive an engine hard, into the ground, and then replace it and do it again. The first thing they do is convert all of the connectors to WeatherPack, even before they start testing.

OE's are trying to save money on the connectors, WeatherPack is trying to make a heavy-duty connector. I know which one I like.

Oh, I just remembered: Ballinger Motorsports has brand new oem connectors as pigtails our with the pin parts. They also have have the right assembly tools too.

Edit, it's Ballinger, not Bellinger.

Cruise around with some baby miles and get a good solid tune going and do first break in oil change before I'm up there again. Becuz we are beating that ass and putting it away wet and breaking in the rings on that bitch this weekend.

Prob want the knock sensor connector fixed before then hehe.

I'll work on trimming up the rest of the EFI harness Wed/Thur/Fri while you're at work. Ill see if I have any braided nylon loom and heat shrink tubing.

I've got black heat shrink at my place depending what diameter you need.

About 30 miles on the new motor so far. Running great - tune needs work. This weekend should result in a cleaned up wiring harness, wash/detail/wax, and hopefully a reassembled interior as well.

I called ATS. They break motors in on the dyno. It has plenty of easy time on it. It wasn't a full pull either - more like wtf, boost control isn't working. Set everything to 0 and gradually apply thrott-HAHAHA yup it works"

We changed the oil already and put some miles on it.

I'm of the "beat the shit out of it and break in the rings right away" camp.

As long as the initial miles and oil change is done to flush out the initial metal shit and enough thermal expansion cycles for everything to shift and seat and verify mechanical integrity, its all good.

100s of PSI from combustion, additional 25 psi intake isn't squat. Remember boost never exceeds the already present peak combustion pressure.

Its good to get max pressure and force the rings out ASAP against the hone while its still fresh and sharp.

The tune is much better now - quite comfortable at 20psi. Went out to Tortilla Flats and beat it for a while. Coolant temp and oil pressure are rock solid. Very very happy.

Lag? What lag? You can't just part throttle around a parking lot without it trying to spool. Lulz.
