They usually come in packs of 100 pairs so if they rip you slip on a new one.

Yeah, I just haven't found it worth the hassle..maybe I'll try quality gloves and see if that works. Orange hand cleaner stuff is magic, though. :D

I don't use gloves either. When it's time to clean up, powdered laundry detergent works really well.

JLee - nitrile gloves. The best I've found so far are MicroFlex MidKnight, they have friction tips on them, I can work tape (it's tough but doable) or pick up coins with them on, disposable in boxes of 100. They aren't perfect, to get the fingers tight enough for tape/coins, the hand area is too tight, at least for me, but they're a ton better than latex gloves, more durable and better for gripping.

I wear these when working on all my cars now. Been loving them for 2 years.

Changed clutches, transmissions, timing sets, suspension parts, you name it, all wearing these same gloves. They stand up awesome.

I have Craftsman mechanics gloves and I wear them pretty often - but I was screwing around with wiring harness plugs that I could not see (notice how far up my arm the dirt went), and doing that with gloves would've been almost impossible.

Well, in certain situations I agree, no gloves is the only way to go.
For most standard jobs, gloves for the win!

I always used latex gloves when I worked on my DSM. I didn't really care about my hands getting dirty, but I hated the grime getting under my finger nails. No matter how much I tried, I could never get them looking "normal" again until it'd just eventually go away after a day or two. Maybe I just fail at cleaning my finger nails :p.

Then I put it back together. I have to take it apart again to check the switch - 'on' is race gas, 'off' is pump gas...not sure which is which right now.

Does the 3S batch fire injectors in pairs like the 5S or sequential fire individually?

I want to say individually, but I have no idea.

Ready to drop the fuel tank...hopefully there's enough room underneath to make it not suck. :p

I had brain smart: solder the wires to the fuel pump, then seal them with fuel system sealant. Problem solved.

The Walbro pump comes with a plug and wires - would be a bitch to solder to the connectors on the plug.

All relevant underbody panels are off - working on dropping AC and coolant lines, then the tank will be ready to come out. Progress!

Derp, I meant solder the wires to the pig-tail on the pump.

Finally!

I am not going to try to put that back in without jacking the front of the car up a bit. It was not easy to take out and there was a couple of gallons of fuel helping me, too. I think I'll drain the tank completely and lift the front of the car up six inches or so to make life not suck.

Another pair of hands wouldn't be bad, either. Calling it quits for the night - the grill is beckoning.

Tease. Get em on the car already!

Hope your brakes are clean and rust free, otherwise its going to drive you nuts with those narrow spoke open wheels.

Brakes will need work - I think someone tried painting the front calipers at one point..

Hats and calipers are easy enough to paint, and wheels like those are a cinch to clean.

The painting calipers part wouldn't be too hard except for what looks like built up shitty paint on them already. I'll take a look, though - might not be too bad.
