Because iPhone user are wealthier on average, I'm going to assume that they are more educated - thus, more tech-savvy in general.
True story...

Internet was out at work, and I went out to the field to do some work. I needed a plan I didn't have, and called the office...

me: Hey, I need you to send me the plan for this job.

iPhone user: I can't. The internet's down.

me: Oh, I forgot. Send it to me from your phone

iPhone user: How do I do that? I can't get it on my phone from the server.

me: (thinking of a couple solutions, and considering who I'm talking to) Nevermind. I'll drive back to the office :bangshead: A short hour later, I was ready to do some work.

Two iPhone users in office, and I'm the only one that can interface with the server, or do internet work that extends beyond reading email. I wouldn't use Apple if it were free.

I can attest to this on a daily basis. 90% of our software engineers are using iPhones. 10% on Android. Disclaimer: I live in San Francisco.
I've heard that people in SF that don't use iPhones either have to convert or be deported. Is this true? :colbert:

Anecdotal evidence. My dad uses Android and he barely knows what the internet is.

Bring some stats if you want to prove other wise.

Nope, not true. However, on average, we're wealthier than the rest of the country. Maybe it explains why iPhone usage is high here?

If you told the average person that there was bacteria in their yogurt they wouldn't eat yogurt anymore. Anyone who held the original iPhone up to the 6 would be ignorant to say that it's faster or better in any way.

However, the slightly below average technology user that uses their iPhone for phone calls and that's pretty much it wouldn't have any idea they were holding something from 2007. These people just spend money over and over on technology they don't need or use.
