I'm waiting to see if more news outlets pick this up...but if it's the case WHOA. Not that it wasn't coming but I'm surprised by the timing.

Oh and as a UofM fan, good riddance.

There will be a new coach at OSU and new changes around but there will be another BCS college football champion......as usual....from the SEC :)

<<<---is running and avoiding incoming projectiles from the Big 10 fans...hehehehehehe.

Dear Ohio State,
Was a decade of glory worth a history of asterisks and ignominy? Are you going to show up with those scUM signs now?
Here's some advice: the key to beating the SEC isn't playing their own game.
Good luck - you're going to need it,
Michigan

The only thing that might be more embarrassing and amusing than the aOSU/Tressel situation is Michigan fans' reactions to it.

I heard the under/over on people in the program who received special treatment as far as car deals go like Pryor did is 50.

Surprising, thought he was going to escape his own scandal intact.

Rich Rod just sucked.
I want UM to have a good program with a good coach.

Don't you want your major opponent to also have a good program with a good coach, or would you rather simply win without a fight?

See, I want UM to be a kickass team. That way, when we kick y'alls ass, we look better. :D

My school better figure out wtf they are gonna do now. We're gonna blow this year one way or another, and there goes our star recruits for a few years. Hopefully the next guy can get a top class sometime soon.

Tressel did annoy me at times with his decisions, but in the end I did enjoy watching the team.

But I have been thinking our school needed something to shake things up, as it's been kind of stale at the National level, can't make awesomeness happen against major non-conference teams.

I have a shirt that says "Ohio State Football Is Everything" and I'm down here in Augusta.
I do plan on wearing it out one of these nights. But Augusta is boring, not like I'm in some big SEC college town. Too bad. :D

I wouldn't be throwing any stones out there. These were all pretty minor infractions. And I bet you could find minor infractions like these at every major program.
He falls because he didn't report them.

I wonder what the penalties would have been had he reported them right away? These are kids that are going to do dumb things. I would hope the system would allow for first-time infractions to be used a teaching opportunity. Sit them for one game, let make sure they know what they are risking. But keep them in the program where they can grow up with some guidance.

Minor?? Dude, have you not read up on all this?? Sure I'm a biased Michigan fan, but Ohio State self reported a violation of Bylaw 10.1(unethical conduct) which the NCAA considered akin to murdering the pope. And it is considered a major infraction. He also admits to playing ineligible players and lying to NCAA investigators, also major violations. Yes there were some minor violations as well...but there is a good chance that even with Tressel resigning that the NCAA will come down HARD on Ohio State with major sanctions and whatnot. And Lord help Ohio State if the NCAA finds a lack of institutional control. Yikes.
