I personally can't stand the guy, and really enjoyed this video clip on Kazaa of him being knocked out by Jim Everett. Totally worth seeing! :) Just do a search for Jim Rome..

I used to listen to his radio show, but our local sports radio station switched back to oldies. :|

Hopefully they'll start carrying his show on one of the XM radio channels soon. :)

Chris Everett was a female tennis player..so it was sort of a "you have no penis" kind of insult, which was quite mature of him..

IMO, The Jungle (Jim Rome's radio show) is one of the best sports talk shows out there. Sure, Rome can be a jackass, but when it comes to discussing sports, he has a great deal of knowledge about a lot of sports. The callers are always great too.

A resounding ney. Our local sports station opted for him over the Dan Patrick Show last year. I don't think I heard one positive comment or feedback about the move, yet they've stuck with Rome. Must've been a hell of an affiliate offer.

I like the guy, but I think that the emails and callers make the show. On a good day, some of those emails are hilarious, and if you get a bunch of good callers, those can be hilarious too.

I enjoy him thoroughly. He really makes me laugh sometimes.

Stupid local station just moved him to tape delay 2-5pm. :(

He used to be on our sports radio station, and I love the fact that he's gone. His interviews are nothing but long kissa$$ sessions. And he always tries to sound hip by repeating catch phrases and lingo over and over.

The used to have him on FNZ over here in Charlotte , but somehow they figured the ratings weren't good enough, so now we just get the Dan Patrick show (ESPN Radio.)

Major nay - Rome is a jackass and a loudmouth idiot. He relies on the novelty of his abrasiveness to carry his show - it sure as hell doesn't work for me.

Rome is hilarious.

I hate that my affiliate dropped him. I may have to become a member of his website to hear the show.

The program director of the station said that there was a severe drop in listeners from 1-3 (when Rome was on).

He also said that he would have MUCH rather have kept Rome because then they don't have to pay anything for the programming. That alone told me how badly the # of people listening dropped off.

I can't believe you would rather listen that loser than the stew's! In the DAWG HOUSE!!! 2 live stew's callers are WAY more entertaining than Rome's.
