The program director of the station said that there was a severe drop in listeners from 1-3 (when Rome was on).

He also said that he would have MUCH rather have kept Rome because then they don't have to pay anything for the programming. That alone told me how badly the # of people listening dropped off.

I can't believe you would rather listen that loser than the stew's! In the DAWG HOUSE!!! 2 live stew's callers are WAY more entertaining than Rome's.

I liked Rome for the emails and calls, his interviews bored me to death. Two live stews are ok once and awhile, but since Rome is gone I listen to Clark howard

Listen to him almost everyday at work. He has great interviews and he does have integrity even though he can be an ass sometimes.

Thats funny, I replied I listen to Rome in the AM radio thread.

He is hilarious...the emails and some of the "legend" callers are great.

I used to listen to him quite a bit back in the day when he did the night time show on 690. When he went national he bacame even a bigger jackass then he was. 690 here in MN plays his show but I rarely listen. I do listen to the dan Patrick show replay in the afternoon. Jim Rome talks tough but when he is confronted with someone he disagrees with he rarely stands up to them, Yet as soon as they go off the air he rips them up. Jim Rome is a shallow egotisical punk.

You got ripped by the Team as well?

Not one but BOTH my local affiliates (Team 1050 and Team 1090 switched formats from the Team to oldies with NO WARNING whatsoever) Man was I pissed. :|
