My wife in many ways is the epitome of Middle-Aged White Lady in that she regularly consumes content like 'true crime' etc. Here's the latest one she's been listening to:

When I first heard it, the style of delivery from the narrator was definitely striking a familiar tone with me, then I realised what it was: the narrator at the start of 'Hot Fuzz', specifically the bit about being stabbed by a guy dressed as Father Christmas:


I haven't quite ruined it for her, but when she resumed playback this morning, it was obvious where her train of thought immediately went because of the way she looked at me 🙂 I'm going to have to try hard not to randomly crack up when I'm in earshot 🙂
