My wife in many ways is the epitome of Middle-Aged White Lady in that she regularly consumes content like 'true crime' etc. Here's the latest one she's been listening to:

When I first heard it, the style of delivery from the narrator was definitely striking a familiar tone with me, then I realised what it was: the narrator at the start of 'Hot Fuzz', specifically the bit about being stabbed by a guy dressed as Father Christmas:

I haven't quite ruined it for her, but when she resumed playback this morning, it was obvious where her train of thought immediately went because of the way she looked at me I'm going to have to try hard not to randomly crack up when I'm in earshot
