Me having 'yeah I did networking for lan parties' experience propelled my entire career path. It's remarkable what an ounce of interest and availability can do in youth.No that's why you use a 10Base-T switch, for a timeless amount of suck, and responses like "Shit, thanks for the doorstop."
Though seriously, yeah. I procured an 18port 100mbit switch at great expense in 96 or 97, I forget which. But it resulted in me getting invited to the all the best LAN parties, the kind that feature girls, booze, BBQ/smoking rigs behind people's trucks, a variety of dogs... Oh to be a college kid again.
