Though seriously, yeah. I procured a 16port 100mbit switch at great expense in 96 or 97, I forget which. But it resulted in me getting invited to the all the best LAN parties, the kind that feature girls, booze, BBQ/smoking rigs behind people's trucks, a variety of dogs... Oh to be a college kid again.
