There's an official town-sanctioned model plane flying area @ Sherwood Island beach in Westport CT and we would sometimes go hang out on weekends to watch the rich guys play with their (usually) VERY expensive and complex toys.

Many of these "rich guys" had very little in the way of actual model airplane building skills and even less in the way of remote-piloting skills so crashes were a regular event.

At one point I watched the wings come off a large scale-model of a WWI Fokker tri-plane (like the Red Baron lol) about 300 feet up. It then proceeded to fall directly onto the hood a some other rich guys new-ish Bentley totally caving it in. Fortunately nobody was in the car at the time!

I had to drop off some hardware at a coworkers house. I pull into his driveway and before I'm done gathering everything the garage door opens and his elderly mother is standing there with a 3ft long inflated Volcano bag, "Would you like some kush young man?"
