Not sure if anyone here has been to a ski area in central Vermont called Pico Peak that's right next door to Killington? They used to have a T-bar style surface-lift that literally went straight from nearly horizontal to what FELT like sheer vertical (named "A-slope") for about 600 feet to the ridgeline.

The idea was that it was a "double-black diamond" area for experts and racers only but every once in awhile you would get an inexperienced skier/rider on it often with similar results to that video. (there WAS a "bailout" area and some scary sounding warning-signs just prior to the transition)
