Right? I just don't get how a guide could be so non reactive to what is pretty much the most dangerous land animal (in that state) there is. I wouldn't get within 100ft of those guys, and even then certainly not without a loaded Weatherby in my hands. To let one waltz up and sniff my face? lol noooooooope

Describes the first hot summer day in chainsaw pants for me as well. I sympathize with them and the "stay 300 ft away" rule applies.

If that tour guide was at all responsible they would have spices on hand as its one of the most effective ways to make it flee.
