That's actually a good analogy to coronavirus:
- we can see the wave coming --- infected detected
- the wave has momentum --- number of infected rises sharply
- wave closes in on the pier --- huge number of people @ the hospitals with the virus
- wave rises above the pier knocking the people "sightseeing" down --- hospitals overwhelmed

False. Televised sports don't operate with a script, and this is coming from someone who doesn't watch televised sports. Also televised sports opt for player uniforms and focus on achieving points, with none of it being preorchestrated. Note the lack of personal costumes, make up, constantly shifting alliances or the dramatic and meaningless over the top dialogue that saturates all of it.

Rope opera is soap opera for certain guys, this is true statement. Probably more wiggle room for the one about cars, but there is an element of truth there as well.
