I want a drone.

Skip to about 2:20 or so for the nitty gritty, whole thing is cool though. That could have gone another way and he'd have recorded it all :fearful:

Mergansers are pretty common around and wonderful to watch. I've always found it endearing the way many species of waterfowl will adopt stray chicks. It's not like they have to produce food for them like a mammal would, just lead them to a good spot to forage for it and keep watch while they eat.

Intriguing to think about the evolutionary factors involved. Presumably the cost of parenting is very low, so there's no selection effect against mother ducks picking up lots of stragglers, while there is a high benefit for the same ducks as chicks in being determined to find any suitable parent.
Is this a kind of group-selection? It clearly benefits them as a species to all care for others lost chicks.

Also, the feminist part of me wonders 'where's the daddy duck?' While the conservative part thinks 'that's socialism - it'll end badly'

Despite the terrible driving the dash cam owner intentionally causing the accident isn’t cool either.

I don't think so. He has a car running up on him at a high rate of speed and he was probably switching lanes to get out of the way. You also can't see if he turned on his blinker to move out of the speeder's way. Drive coming up on him at that sort of speed is a compete asshole.

absolutely no way whatsoever that the guy with the cam caused that insane person to drive like a complete moron and wreck himself.

This.

People who think they own the road and can pass on the right deserve whatever they get themselves into IMO. If I'm in the passing lane and passing people, you don't get to drive me off the road because you feel it's not happening fast enough. Hopefully that wreck changed the drivers attitude and behavior, otherwise decent chance he's going to kill himself or someone else someday.

Dashcams are common these days people, might want to act/drive accordingly.

Huh? What makes you say he intentionally caused the accident? The other guy (changing lanes without signaling and trying to pass on the right without giving the other driver an opportunity to move out of the fast lane) is the same kind of driver who doesn't look for the signals of other drivers. The driver recording the video was obviously changing lanes already as the reckless driver sped up to him and immediately tried to pass on the right. There's no indication in this video that the recording driver wasn't signaling the lane change.

It looks like the woman hit her blinkers at the exact same time as the car that was trying to exit the fast lane. Then she over corrected 3 times and hit the rail. That sound right?
