That doesn't apply in this case. The answer to "why were they filming" is "because there was an altercation."
They were filming before the altercation. It takes me at least 10s to pull my phone out and start recording, they were recording before dudebro even cut in front of him.

Calling shens.

Egg-xactly. He filmed "black guy" stepping in front to start. I also think the way he runs to the back to grab some fries is the acting give-away. I think it's all a huge ploy to pocket some free fries while nobody was looking. That has to be it.

You really think people staging this "fake" are not implying that words were exchanged before we hear the kid mouth-off?

Unlikely that this was staged since it's almost certain someone would have been hurt. The reactions of the staff behind the counter seem genuine.

[edit]

I just realized there is a longer video than the one that was linked at first. I will watch it now.

Yeah. It seems more fake when you see the initial interaction. Still possible that someone was deliberately cutting in line to get a recorded reaction, but I dunno. Just bizarre that they would risk death or paralysis to fake a video like this. Catch your head on the edge of a counter... Knock a pot of coffee off the burner... Just plain smack your head on the floor too hard...

Imagination. Get one.

If the guy really was taking his position back then it’s pretty obvious to me that the cameraman is with him. Duh. There is nothing suspicious about when the video starts at all.

I also feel that it could be fake but when the video started is absolutely NOT why. I also feel that t could be real, since that appear to be a real McDonald’s with too many people to coordinate with and some actual property damage.

When I found $22,600 worth of heroin inside two NES cartridges almost two months ago, a lot of people asked the same question even though it had the same answer: because there was good reason to think something noteworthy was about to happen. I even explained why in the video. Similarly, the answer to that question in regards to the line cutters is right there in the video. He and his friend started recording before he asserted himself because they knew it might get an ant wresting reaction.

Even easier way to tell. Just watch the reaction, or more tellingly, the lack of reaction of the person holding the camera. He/She is inches from a supposedly violent altercation and doe not move one iota. Stays perfectly still and keeps everything in frame. A REAL person filming a real assault would step back when the assailant bumps into him just one second after tossing a guy over a counter. But nope, not even a tiny flinch.

The people who believed that was real probably think Spongebob Squarepants is real.
