I avoid self checkouts. Do you not realize what the future holds?
If everyone (or most people) use self checkout, then they will have less and less employees at registers.
Then, everyone will be at self checkout..and do you REALLY want to be in the same line with all those people as depicted and expect them to be able to check out their own groceries + all that other stuff? No..it will be a nightmare.

I avoid self-checkouts for another reason... People completely incompetent. They can't follow the simple directions of a machine (regardless of how stupid the instructions are).

Believe me when I say, if you're debating between a normal check-out line with 2 people infront of you vs. a 4-self-checkout with 2 people in line infront of you I would definitely place my bet on the normal check-out taking less wait time.

Now if people weren't assholes and actually had <10 items on the self-checkouts, maybe I would take the other bet... but people are stupid.
