Yeah, I was wondering about it as well. I think the guy on the left picked the other guy's pocket (a key?), then dropped it on the ground and pointed out to the other guy that he dropped his key. I'm guessing by the way the guy on the left keeps shiftily looking back at the camera that he had second thoughts maybe? Unsure.
