I wonder if it's possible to hijack the pairing system and rickroll the victim; or maybe you're on a train with a load of AirPod users and hijack the whole lot to play your choice of music publicly and ramp up the volume

This is a stupid question since I'm sure the wireless connection scheme is proprietary but can't you just use normal bluetooth headphones? I mean even Apple has to subscribe to the BT standard, don't they? Or do people just figure that they HAVE to buy Apple branded shit for their phones?
