Incredible. In a few years that soil will be overgrown with grass and plants, and trees will start to grow. Nobody would ever know there was a human made dam there once.

To be fair, it isn't that dry anymore; now that the dam is out, the river level fluctuates with the season more. The river remains a good place for rafting however, with sections being a class IV rapid still.

Pretty much. Vegetation will take hold where it can. The river will naturally erode the banks. Trees will pop up in some spots. It's a total win for the environment.
