It's better if you can actually put your nose down there and they nose bonk you, they rarely will.

You're good to go on a friends basis if they will do it, in my experience.

He may have wanted a nose to nose bonk, he might get mad now and hold a grudge, he he.

:p

*edit* You're kittah overlord is now insulted.

In many ways.

It just wouldn't work.

That toilet is full to the brim when they put it on. Applying limited downward pressure would do nothing to encourage the toilet to flush. Them turds are hydraulically locked in the bowl without the needed air pressure to help achieve the desired siphon effect of your typical household toilet.

I guess it COULD bust the clog loose, but you still have to remove the film and find out, very scarily, if you succeeded. It wouldn't work like the gif.

Still, a better love story than Twilight.

The GIF is sped up. I actually suspect it has a chance to work, but not necessarily all the time.

When it was put on, the water was not literally "to the brim", though it was close. Still enough that if applied, as more water fills the bowl, the water would push the air into the film and create that bubble. Pressing that, and letting go, should create a limited-strength positive and negative pressure sequence. The drawback is it should be weaker, but the benefit is that it is total and complete - due to bowl design, you may not get a solid complete lock with a plunger, or not oriented in the correct direction. Since the entire bowl is used, direction does not matter since there is literally only one direction for water and air to go - a plunger could lose much of its force into the bowl instead of down into the trap.

I think the GIF just skips quickly to the result - you should be able to clearly see, and feel, if there is still water at the almost-overflowing level.

I hope I am not the only one with a less than spotless rim to my toilet bowl? Seems like pubic hair and other debris would make the seal less than ideal unless you cleaned it daily. Also, this thing would not work with Penguin toilets, which have a separate drain path for overflow.

Well you would at least wipe it down, like in the video.

A little water on some toilet paper, then wipe around the rim, and you should be able to get the surface receptive enough to a good bond.

With a serious clog it isn't the push that clears the clog, something is usually wedged so that the up stroke does the unjamming. I also prefer two feet of handle between me and the poop stew, not 12 mils of plastic.

What? You don't like a pressurized bowl of shit with but 12 mils of plastic ready to be perforated and assplode into yo face?

This would seem like a better idea if you didn't fluch the toilet to fill the bowl right up to the top but instead were given a small tablet that would fizz and produce gas which would increase the pressure in the bowl enabling you to "push" the blockage away. As a bonus you could make the tablet emit a nice scented odour so once the plastic was removed it smelt nice and fresh.
