Besides the burn it with fire, I know there's another gif like this where they are in a tree. I'm assuming they are spiders, but WHY do they group like that?

Actually, not technically spiders.

They're Harvestmen. Arachnids, but not spiders. One truth about them: they definitely cannot bite humans. A misconception: they are not the most venomous - they don't even have venom glands.

As for grouping - they just do that. Some kind of social grouping thing, but nobody truly knows for sure the "why." They aren't well studied.
I think partly for defense: aggregated scent glands probably deter more and larger predators, and that many of them might help them survive certain climates and also perhaps look less appetizing.

It is a defensive mechanism to stop themselves being poked....it doesn't work that well.

Holy shit, how did he keep a straight face o_O:awe:

Practice. He delivers deadpan humor nightly.

He's the one that supposedly corrects everyone else and injects humor ("Let's find out if we got anything wrong so far"), so he's doing these kind of fake retractions daily.

Oh, how I love to rag on Fox for their terrible reporting, and really - that isn't all that professional - but it's spot on and absolutely perfect! :awe:

"Professional?" It's a comedy show on Fox News ("Red Eye"). That's like expecting John Stewart to be unfunny when he's doing "O'Reilly Factor" purely in the name of "professionalism."

"TV's Andy Levey" didn't give that away? Perhaps you didn't get it: The joke is that you reference the person's notability outside the context you are introducing him in because his reputation may not precede him here.

They switch backgrounds to the newsroom for his segment so that he appears to be the network's damage control against the potentially slanderous things that the others may jokingly say.

Post #1 is a funny gif about someone who happens to be a politician rather than just a picture of a politician with an unfunny pseudo political comment on it.

I didn't even see a politician pictured in the rape vs. guns image. Using your argument, does that make it even less political? :colbert:

Which part of "keep P&N the fuck out of this thread" confuses you? I'd like to help clarify. Let me know.

*sigh* was there a lame unfunny political point made in the first post?

The Rumsfeld pic was "lame and unfunny." A funny political point would definitely be better than an unfunny picture of a politician. :colbert:

Basically: I'd rather have "funny" than "unfunny."

Just shut the fuck up already, you piece of shit troll. There is nothing political about the first post.
Except the politician.

It doesn't make a political point, but it does mock him. Seems the people who get all upset by political images only get upset about the ones that mock them or their ideology. Guess which ideology...
