Certainly could be from a movie, I thought the same thing. However what is wrong with the physics here exactly? Do you feel the transfer of momentum is too perfect? I don't think any of us know enough about the masses of the two objects to say that for sure.

There's too much transfer for where it hits. It hits above the belt-line yet everything acts like the ball hit a brick wall. Also the hit has only a slight upward angle yet the car shoots up and over and does so after the energy would've been imparted.
The car's acceleration does not quite match with the ball's deceleration.

I don't think there's really enough info in this vid to draw these conclusions. I'm not saying it ISN'T face but it doesn't look that obvious to me.

It isn't that obvious. But watch enough vehicles getting hit by trains and you'll see the difference.

May 09, 2011, A Cleveland man was attacked by a housecat Friday afternoon and the man’s injuries are so severe that he had to be taken by air ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

The altercation between the man and the animal occurred at a home on CR 3182 a few miles south of Cleveland in Liberty County.

At some point during the attack, the man and the cat reportedly were injured by a knife the man was holding. The man was taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center before being transported to Houston.

It does not look like this

A train is also a substantially different force being applied differently. A train is going to outweigh a wrecking ball by a very large margin. Not sure what speed differences there are, but a train weighs thousands of tons. Plus, the first thing on a train that hits is going to be fairly low, whereas the wrecking ball is hitting high up on the van, while also going in a somewhat upward swing. Most likely on a van, it would smash in the top, although there are some cars (Dakar or Baja rally trucks for instance) that could possibly be structurally strong enough that it would cause it to flip.

Its been debunked as being a movie set, though, so its pointless to really debate it. Maybe tell Mythbusters or something though and have them test to see what might really happen.
