I know a guy that purchased a "firewire to usb adaptor" off amazon, to connect a very expensive 3 CCD camera to a shitty laptop to do some important image work...without my knowing he was doing that....then I watched as he melted the $3k camera (and the laptop). ....... ....at least we found the camera in surplus, I guess.

I mean, who the fuck sells these things? how is this even made?
