Stereotypes that aren't detrimental to the race aren't really a big deal, stereotypes are just that stereotypes it's not an insult to say that it is stereotypical of a persons race that they do x, similarly stereotypes more often than not are delusional crap, like this whole watermelon thing, I have no idea where it comes from but all the black people I know are no more interested in watermelons than I am.

I think I know what you're saying, but that's not the point. Some people will be offended by this. So why post it?

Hmm. I assumed that was just an accent?

I've seen it spoken that way mostly in mock slave/master dialog, like "Oh lawd! Ah hope ah didun make you wait too lawng, masser! Yessir yessir. Right away, masser."

Because people have posted similar images in the past and I thought this was funny. If it was "I hate all black people" and in image of someone being lynched I wouldn't have posted it.

how is it detrimental?

is the truth that harmful to your entire countries fragile little ego?

It's detrimental because it's a negative stereotype that means nothing in the real world, it's neither true nor helpful or relevant.

and NOW you understand why the racist picture you posted is negative.

Poor blacks in the south had to eat whatever was easy to make and cheap back in the days. Watermelon was easy to grow in those seasons. Same thing goes for chitlins (pig-intestines), they were cheaper than beef and what not. It's just that families start cooking them more and more and the stereotype passed on.

No, I don't, people being ugly or having bad teeth are both negative. Eating watermelons isn't negative.

Lol, now you are trying to teach tolerance?

What's wrong with the first two pictures?

Japanese and Mandarin Chinese native speakers aren't able to enunciate an 'L' sound, and the Colt 45 ad is fairly self-explanatory.

So... the neck tardedness commences exactly as expected...

I guess he was trying to distract from how he's a vampire.

LOL! I totally didn't catch where he said that. Perfect "age test" right there! Thinking the N64, their LEAST popular console at that point, was more popular than the NES that ran rampant through the market with no competitor in sight? INSANE. I literally had no idea the Sega Master System even existed nor did my friends.

Yeah, I wanted to comment but this post is more than a week old--I'm only now catching up on some days off from epic thread.

Lol--N64. I knew a few people with those, but what was the point? NES owned the industry for a decade, SNES destroyed all other consoles before or since, if I'm not mistaken.

General consensus is the N64 was too powerful for too little data in the ROM's. PS won because it could do long ass games with large textures, full motion video, voice over everything (which took a while but eventually became the norm) and any other little extras you want can be easily thrown on. And since the discs were cheap you could throw in 3 or 4 to do a longer game (FF7) and not raise the price.

Don't know, didn't get the second one. I'm sure there's something in it.. something to do with black gangsters or black people owning guns or something.

Thats weird, I thought it was Japanese who couldnt make an L.
The reason I think that is because I learned Japanese. The nearest they can get to an L is a weird ass R.

Idiot test. You failed.

Then refers to time. "This then that."
Than is part of a comparison "Smarter than you."

WTF is wrong with you?

yep.

I can only imagine that people who aren't using "than" very often are idiots who have no idea how to write or speak properly.

They're not the only ones.

I had a prof for calculus in university who was an immigrant from mainland China. You can imagine how great it was every time he had to say "arfa" (α, a common variable).

I also had a Hong Kong prof who taught robotics, including ladder logic. Let's talk about the rungs of the ladder...

Hint: Cantonese natives can't enunciate 'R' unless they also speak Mandarin, English, etc. well. If you ask a native HKer to pronounce 'R' you'll end up with something that sounds like the first two syllables of "aluminum", emphasis on first syllable.
