Was a Mentor on a FIRST robotic team about 10+ years ago or so and the we had the kids wire it so clean the judges at the competion had us cut the wires at the time aa they said the kids couldn't have done it.

Was pretty stupid but was their call I guess.

Bullshit.

1. Mentors in FRC are allowed to build the entire robot if they want. Always have been.
2. Judges would NEVER say a single thing about a robot in that manner - because they can't tell a team to anything.
3. INSPECTORS, the people who inspect for safety, would never tell you to cut a wire on a robot because it looks too neat.
