Without the comma, one must realize that the caption is speaking to the beer which can only happen after fully reading and trying to make sense in context. With the comma, the first line already makes sense and the joke works right away. If you write better, you get better results. Too many good jokes are ruined by simple mistakes like this. Even though this one was not ruined, it is useful to remember before you make a similar mistake and fall flat.
