North Chicago suburbs here and if it has snowed, nothing is showing in the parking lot. It was only 35 on my way to work, dry as a bone though.

I REALLY hope we have a gooood, solid, white winter this year.

You might not. They weather experts are telling us that the jetstream is going to be bringing a lot of snow down here, so you might be stuck with sunshine and bitter cold.

Or they might be wrong.

Snowed up here a bit over a week ago but two days ago it was finally sticking around over night at my parents:

Only thing that sucks about leaving at the beach, that big body of (relative) hot moisure makes the weather seems like we're located several hundred miles further south than we are, so we get nice and humid in the summer and cold but no snow in winter.

Algonquin, IL here (NW burbs of Chicago). Forecast this morning was 70% chance of snow by the afternoon but I'm seeing grey skies and not much else.

Snowing here too, though it does not seem to be staying on the ground. So far were having a pretty warm fall. Winter has been coming later and later in the past 10 years or so, if I recall there was not even snow on the ground last Halloween. When I was a kid there was always snow by then, usually a foot or so at least. Can't complain though.

I was laughing, I checked my mail and got a panflet trying to sell me an air conditioning unit. Yeah, they're a couple months late for that. LOL.

I love it, but not quite ready for it. Still need to put the pipe insulation on the garden hose. That's the only part of winter that sucks - frozen water buckets and frozen hoses.

Single digits in the big boy C scale here in Toronto. No signs of flakes yet. Better not snow because I still got a ton of leaves to clean up, and all the patio furniture to put away.

You want it to snow, that's a good excuse to put all that off till spring.

I did not rake my leaves yet either, I should probably get on that, but part of me wants to just let it snow on top.
