Sounds good to me, but it has been years since I've experienced a proper winter. That probably won't be an issue this year, lows the last few days have been about 40 and precipitation has been normal. Another month and there's a good chance I will have snow too.

Snow is great. I like living in an area with a wide variety of weather. Although it could be cold for 2 months less. It needs to change fast, snow for a bit, then change back towards warm.

It has to have been cold enough for long enough or the snow will melt as it comes down. Or, worse, it melts for a while then freezes.

I'm in the office in Deerfield IL (between Chicago and Wisconsin Border)... No snow spotted yet today. (no snow this year thus far), usually we get at least something before Halloween.

This is actually the 1st time I've worn a jacket since last winter as it was in the mid 30s and the fiance was nagging about how the weather was cold or something or other.

Saw snow falling in Naperville (western suburb of Chicago) and it was reported at O'Hare, so Chicago has had it's first official snow for the season.
About 2 weeks later than average too.
